At Adelaide Heath Academy, we believe that it is vital for all our pupils to learn from and about religion, so that they can understand the world around them and build their emotional intelligence, understanding and awareness of others beliefs. Through Religious Education, pupils develop their knowledge of the world faiths and the values and traditions of other individuals, societies, communities and cultures. We encourage our pupils to ask questions about the world and to reflect on their own beliefs, building their effective communication skills and enabling them to question others values and experiences. Our Religious Education curriculum is enhanced further with trips to places of worship in our local area building pupils independence and resilience to step outside their comfort zone and learn about the wider world, through this curriculum we aim to develop successful and caring members of the community who understand and are able to empathise with others.
